The youngest member of BLACKPINK (블랙핑크), Lisa (리사), is thriving in her solo career, taking the Hollywood spotlight by storm this year. Adding to the excitement, BLINKs can look forward to another one of her major achievement because Lisa will become the first-ever K-pop idol to perform at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The iconic fashion runway event returns this 15th October in New York City after six years of hiatus.
Yesterday, Victoria’s Secret took to their Instagram and TikTok accounts to reveal the final performer for their highly anticipated runway show – and it turned out to be none other than the “Rockstar” singer. The announcement came shortly after confirming Tyla as another performer with legendary singer Cher as the headliner. This exciting news also marks a historic moment for the show, with an all-female artist lineup for the first time ever, elevating anticipation for the event.
Following the exciting announcement, Lisa shared her enthusiasm in a press statement, saying, “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is such an iconic night in fashion and I’m so excited to be part of its return with so many incredible and powerful women being part of the show! It’s going to be a great night.” In addition to the performances, the model lineup is definitely set to be a major highlight, featuring renowned names like Gigi Hadid, Tyra Banks, and a host of emerging talents.
Naturally, fans were thrilled by the news, with many applauding Victoria’s Secret for choosing Lisa as one of the performers.
