Fans love it when their favourite stars appear as playable or non-playable characters in video games. Fortnite, a fun and free multiplayer shooter, has collaborated with numerous musical artists and film studios to feature them or their characters in the game itself. One of the features fans look forward to most in Fortnite is the Fortnite Festival.
For context, it is a music mode within the game where players can perform songs using rhythm notes. Several stars, including Bruno Mars, Gorillaz, Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, have headlined this rhythm game since its launch in 2023. In the upcoming 12th season, BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사) will be taking centre stage!

Yesterday (Monday, 24th November), Fortnite officially announced that BLACKPINK member Lisa will be headlining the 12th Season of the Fortnite Festival. The idol will make her official appearance in the game on 27th November (Thursday) for a limited time until January 2026. “She’s the main act of the Starlux Music Pass, featuring her trendsetting style and energetic ‘FUTW (Vixi Solo Version)’ track”, the statement reads.
As you can expect, this collaboration will feature a collection of in-game items and songs inspired by her hit solo debut album, “Alter Ego”. Players can also access a Lisa outfit along with two freestyle tracks: “Rockstar” and “New Woman,” through the in-game store. Yes, although Lisa is Thai, she is based in South Korea and has contributed significantly to the K-pop industry with BLACKPINK. As such, the partnership makes her the first-ever K-pop artist to headline the festival. According to reports, she will also be the first K-pop artist to have a live animated performance within the game.
