It’s been over a year since Barbie Hsu’s (徐熙媛) tragic passing. As fans and loved ones continue to pay tribute, there is also increased attention on her two children. Most recently, her daughter has been garnering attention for her growing resemblance to the late star.
Earlier this week, Barbie’s ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei (汪小菲), shared a video of himself spending time with his daughter, Wang Hsi-Yueh (汪希玥/小玥儿). The video shows him taking her to art classes and enjoying a meal together. While the video doesn’t show the 12-year-old’s face, her appearance and tone of speech made many netizens instantly think of Barbie.

Netizens noted that Hsi-Yueh’s long, dark hair and slender figure reminded them of her late mother. Coupled with her walking posture and voice, many said she’s a copy of the Taiwanese star, prompting jokes about Barbie’s strong genes. However, seeing Hsi-Yueh’s growth also sparked melancholy among fans who dearly miss the late Big S (大S).
Barbie’s sister, Dee Hsu (徐熙娣), also continues to remember the star, sharing old photos of them on social media. The television personality recently shared photos from her wedding banquet, noting how her sister appeared excitedly looking upon the married couple and capturing the wedding on her digital camera.
Dee, fondly known as Little S (小S), recalled Barbie playfully threatening her husband during their wedding, saying she’ll find someone to break his leg if he treats Dee badly. While the variety show host knew that the claim was merely a joke, she said it shows how much her sister cares for and loves her.
Given how loved and respected Barbie was, and continues to be, it’s understandable how her sudden passing left many devastated, even a year later. However, with family and friends continuing to share fond memories of her, it’s safe to say that her legacy will live on.
