With the launch of Astro-On-The-Go International, Malaysians living abroad can now feel closer to home. The new service enables Malaysians to tune in to their favourite local movies, dramas, live sports, and news coverage even while they’re oceans apart. Astro-On-The-Go International will not be made available only on laptops, but smartphones and tablets too, from anywhere in the world.
According to Datuk Rohana Rozhan (Astro CEO), “The boundaries of geography shouldn’t apply with technology. As such, we are making local contesnt available to Malaysians living abroad, making Malaysian culture, music, and content internationally accessible”. She also mentioned that along with the Astro-On-The-Go International launch, two homegrown channels (Astro Awani and Astro Arena) are available for a free preview.
Oh, what? Homesick? We say, homesick no more!
