Astro Malaysia has launched 11 new channels – including Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil – and also five new packages for this year as it gives the viewers more choices.
Astro said that the new channels include the Bahasa Malaysia channel Astro Maya while the Chinese channels are Hua Hee Dai and Quan Jia. The Tamil channels are Vijay, Raj, Jaya TV, Kalaignar. It also launched two sports channels – Supersports HD, Supersports 4, and lifestyle’ lifetime channel.
All at the same time, Astro also increased the content for its Astro-On-Demand. Astro, which has over 170 channels and 3.58 million customers, said the new channels and packages are to give viewers greater choice of channels.
It dropped the entry level pricing for the Chinese package to RM37.45 per month for 39 channels plus 20 radio channels.
