AOA’s ChoA (초아) is rumoured to be dating a non-celebrity named Lee Suk Jin.
On 17th May (Wednesday), various media outlets claimed that the idol singer has been dating Lee since last year. It was also reported that Super Junior’s Kim Heechul introduced Lee to ChoA.
Apparently, Lee is is the CEO of Najin Industry, an electronics company that manages computer repair shops around South Korea and owns professional e-Sports gaming teams. He is also a well-known AOA fan in the e-Sports community and reportedly visited AOA concerts and events regularly.
Shortly after the news broke out, ChoA’s label – FNC Entertainment – stepped up to deny the dating news. In a statement, the company said, “After checking with ChoA, we found out that she’s not in a relationship with him. He’s just a close friend and the earlier reports are false.”
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old singer recently addressed her “long break” and confirmed that she will not be leaving AOA. “There was an agreement made between myself and FNC that I would take a break. This was planned since December 2016, since the ‘Excuse Me’ music video filming. But instead, it seems like I got caught up in rumours. I wanted to let everyone waiting for me about my break but I also didn’t want to announce it since it was my personal break,” she wrote on Instagram.
She continued, “I think I should have explained it to my fans who have been waiting for me. I feel like I was too complacent about it. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who has supported me and waited for me.”
