Earlier this month, it was announced that Norwegian-British DJ Alan Walker would kickstart his “Walkerworld Asia Tour Pt. 1” in June, with Indonesia and Singapore being the first two stops. In celebration of the tour, the musician decided to share his Malaysian and Singaporean Whatsapp numbers to interact with his fans before the show.

During the concert press conference yesterday (Wednesday, 29th May), the “Faded” hitmaker shared more details about his upcoming concert here in Malaysia. He also revealed why he chose Indonesian singer Putri Ariani as his supporting act for the show. Here’s what went down:

After visiting the country multiple times in the past, Alan Walker shared that he’s very excited to bring his tour to Malaysia this time around and hopes that the energy will be just as amazing as his last show last year in 2023. “Everyone has always welcomed me with open arms and the 20-hour travel has always been worth it so I’m looking forward to coming back in a month with ‘Walkerworld’ and sharing this experience with everyone,” he added.

When asked why he chose Putri Ariani as one of his supporting acts, the 26-year-old said, “We’ve been working closely together for a year or two now on ‘Who I Am’ so I thought it’d the perfect time to bring her along as it would be a great opportunity for both of us to perform our song together here and hopefully for more shows as well.”

If you’re wondering if the two talented songwriters would collaborate on another song, the former America’s Got Talent contestant answered that it would be another dream come true as she has looked up to Alan for many years now. The “Walkerworld” concert in Malaysia would be Putri’s first time performing in the country for her Malaysian fans and the vocalist mentioned that she hopes to make wonderful memories with everyone here. Without any further ado, the concert details are as follows:

  • Date: 22nd June 2024 (Saturday)
  • Time: 8pm
  • Venue: Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon
  • Ticketing: RM189 (CAT 2), RM289 (CAT 1)
  • Seating plans:

Apart from Putri Ariani, Finnish singer Robin Packalen and Sofiloud will also join Alan Walker on stage providing unique opportunities and interaction for audiences to be a part of this exciting musical journey. Tickets can be purchased on Megatix Malaysia’s official website.
