It looks like there is a new idol-actor couple in town because South Korean news platform Dispatch reports that aespa (에스파) member Karina (카리나) and actor Lee Jae Wook (이재욱) are currently dating!
Through the report released on 27th February, the site shared that the two stars have only been dating for a little over a month. Karina and Jae Wook first met at the Prada fashion show in Milan in January and have been dating since then. An insider tells Dispatch, “I think it’s fair to say they fell in love at first sight. They fell in love from the moment they met at the fashion show.”
According to Dispatch, the two have gone on several casual dates around Jae Wook’s neighbourhood. 24-year-old Karina lives in a dorm with her group members but would usually meet up with the 26-year-old actor near his house for their late-night dates. Despite their busy schedule with filming and performances, the two had spent some time together in Seoul. The pair also reportedly spent some time together in Milan when they were there for work.
SM Entertainment and C-Jes Entertainment have confirmed the dating rumours, saying the couple are in the early stages of the relationship. Meanwhile, fans have reacted to the report, sharing mixed reactions. Some fans were happy for the couple, adding that their visuals make them a good match for each other. However, some criticised the news outlet for exposing the relationship at such an early stage.
In other news, Lee Jae Wook’s upcoming drama ‘The Impossible Heir” is set to be released this week. Meanwhile, Karina is preparing for aespa’s world tour, which will kick start in Seoul in June.
