It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Sunway Lagoon spread the Christmas joy and brightened up the lives of thousands of underprivileged children and caretakers by treating them to an exclusive preview of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, The Musical at the Amphitheatre at Sunway Lagoon.
Directed by Chris Colby and choreographed by David Kort, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, The Musical features a cast from London’s West End and professional dancers from around the world. Making this Christmas extra special with its sixth musical, Sunway Lagoon gave the children from 2o charity homes the chance to catch the spectacular musical throughout the month of December.
“Since 2010, we (Sunway Lagoon) have taken much pleasure and joy in being able to host underprivileged children to enjoy a wonderful show and learn the message it conveys. It is heart-warming to see the children with big smiles on their faces while enjoying the show,” said Bill Holman, Consultant Director of Sunway Lagoon.
The children were homes around Klang Valley including the tuition center for underprivileged kids under YB Hannah Yeoh’s office, Angsana Home, Ozanam Home, Sunbeam Home, Precious Home, The Pure Life Society, Ti Ratana Welfare Home, House of Peace, Assunta Children’s Society, Padmasambhava Children Loving Association, Hilla Community, Kiwanis, Persatuan Rumah Kids, Persatuan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Ibu Tunggal, Rumah Juara Puchong, Precious Children Home, Taska Permata Children, Sunway Medical Centre Cochlear Implant Patients & Family’, Sunday Medical Centre Dialysis Patients & Family, Sunway Medical Centre Medical Oncology Patients & Family, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Agathian Malaysia, House of joy, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Impian, Rumah Shalom, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah, Women’s Aid Organization and City Revival.
“We believe treating the kids to a great musical with high production value will help to spread cheer to the children’s lives as well as inspire them creatively. Aside from the amazing performances by the cast and ensemble performed live under the direction of David Laugharne, the musical also reminds us to look beyond the superficial elements of life and to search for values such as friendship and love,” said Bill.
