It’s a horror film like no other.
A total of 4 new posters for Universal Pictures & Legendary Pictures’ upcoming horror fantasy film “Crimson Peak” have been released, featuring 4 of their lead characters. The posters gave us an upper body view of the characters that are portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam.

“Crimson Peak” tells the story of young author Edith Cushing, who is newly married to Sir Thomas Sharpe, only to find out that he is not who he appears to be. After her marriage, she continues her stay in a crumbling old mansion in Cumbria, which is the family home of Sharpe, only to find mysterious events happening in the house.
Wasikowska (of “Stoker” fame) will be playing Cushing while Hiddleston (of “Thor” fame) will be playing Sharpe. Chastain (of “Interstellar” fame) will be taking up the role of Sir Thomas’ sister, Lady Lucille Sharpe and audience will find Hunnam (of “Pacific Rim” fame) as Dr. Alan McMichael, a “quiet, shy, thoughtful kind of stoic, taciturn, very learned guy who is madly in love with the female hero”.
Additional cast includes Jim Beaver, Leslie Hope, Burn Gorman, Doug Jones, Javier Botet, Laura Waddell, and Ron Bottitta.
The official synopsis is as follows:
In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers.
Guillermo del Toro, the same man who brought us “Pacific Rim” and “Hellboy 2: The Golden Army”, is producing, directing, and writing the script for the movie. Matthew Robbins is aiding him in the script department while Callum Greene, Jon Jashni, and Thomas Tull is producing the movie alongisde del Toro.
