For those unaware, Jackie Chan (成龍) has a daughter, Etta Ng (吴卓林), who was the result of his extramarital affair with former Miss Asia winner Elaine Ng (吴绮莉). Recently, Etta has been in the news after she was allegedly spotted working on the streets of Hong Kong.
Recently, a photo has been circulating on social media of Etta allegedly operating a street stall in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. According to reports, Etta is selling hand-drawn and customised clothing. In the picture, the 26-year-old is seen smiling broadly towards the camera. However, the image’s authenticity remains unconfirmed.

Nevertheless, netizens have reacted to Etta’s latest public appearance, voicing mixed reactions. While some praised her for working hard to support herself, others noted the unfortunate life she lives despite being the daughter of two prominent Hong Kong stars. Some also brought up her strained relationship with her father and mother.
Given that Etta was born out of wedlock, it’s no surprise that her relationship with her father, Jackie, isn’t the best. However, she was close with her mother until she left home for Canada and announced her marriage to her partner, Andi Autumn, who is 12 years her senior. Since then, Etta and Elaine’s relationship has been rocky.

It’s not known whether Etta’s return to Hong Kong signifies a potential reconciliation between her and her mother. Besides accusing her parents of abandoning her because of homophobia, Etta also previously claimed that Elaine was abusing her. The former pageant queen admitted to making mistakes while raising her daughter, but still hopes to patch things up.
Whatever happens, we wish the best for Etta and hope she’ll be able to pick herself up after all those years of financial hardship. As for her relationships, we also hope she can work things out with her mother. What are your thoughts on this?
