Just a short flight from Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong is redefining what it means to recharge. This season, the city blends its signature urban energy with fresh coastal air, scenic cycling routes, and new wellness spaces that invite visitors to move, explore, and unwind.

As temperatures cool in November, it’s the perfect time for Malaysians to swap the tropical heat for a refreshing autumn breeze — and rediscover Hong Kong as a city that moves the body and calms the mind!

From the return of the Hong Kong Cyclothon to the unveiling of new waterfront landmarks, here’s how you can seek balance, vitality, and a little adventure in the Pearl of the Orient.

Ride Through the City at the Hong Kong Cyclothon Carnival

On 30th November 2025, the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon will once again transform the city into a spectacular stage for cyclists from around the world. Riders of all levels — from elite athletes to weekend enthusiasts — will pedal through one of the world’s most cinematic backdrops, Victoria Harbour.

Beyond the race, the Cyclothon Carnival at the West Kowloon Cultural District offers a weekend of wellness, music, and movement for everyone. Visitors can join workshops led by professional coaches, ranging from classic workouts to emerging sports. Try out the vintage penny-farthing experience, discover the global craze of padel, or move to the rhythm with stretching and Zumba sessions.

Between workouts, unwind to live busking performances, or refuel with coffee, gelato, local snacks, and craft beer. The sports-themed marketplace also showcases activewear, tech, and lifestyle gear from both local and international brands — making it a fun stop for fitness lovers.

For Malaysians looking to combine recreation with relaxation, Hong Kong’s newest wellness destination, GO PARK Sai Sha, is a must-visit. Spanning 1.3 million square feet between Wu Kai Sha and Sai Kung, this vibrant waterfront complex offers a refreshing mix of sports, lifestyle, and leisure surrounded by nature.

At GO PARK Sports, athletes and beginners alike can enjoy everything from cycling and running tracks built for professional events to Hong Kong’s only outdoor pickleball courts. The complex also houses the city’s only public golf driving range equipped with Trackman radar technology, plus padel courts, tennis courts, football and lacrosse fields, a balance-bike area, and multi-purpose courts.

Down by the water, GO PARK Aqua invites visitors to explore Hong Kong’s idyllic coastal side through kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, wingfoiling, and snorkelling. Travellers can also hop on a boat adventure to Sham Chung, a picturesque Hakka village surrounded by lush greenery and geological wonders. Here, visitors can experience handline fishing and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch, offering a glimpse into Hong Kong’s fishing heritage.

It’s an easy day trip for travellers — just under an hour’s ride from the city, and accessible by MTR and ferry, perfect for Malaysians who love seamless and spontaneous weekend plans.

Breathe and Unwind Along Hong Kong’s Reimagined Waterfronts

Hong Kong’s iconic harbourfronts have recently been transformed into open, walkable spaces that encourage both locals and visitors to get moving while enjoying stunning sea views. These new waterfront connections offer some of the city’s most photogenic strolls — ideal for travellers who love to balance sightseeing with light outdoor activity.

The East Coast Boardwalk in North Point offers a refreshing promenade experience beside the water, complete with wave-inspired play zones, outdoor fitness stations, fishing platforms, and sunset-facing seating tucked beneath the highway.

Across the harbour, the Kai Tak GreenWay follows the path of Hong Kong’s historic airport runway, now reimagined as a green corridor of shared-use paths for cyclists and pedestrians. This scenic trail winds through Kai Tak Promenade and Shing Fung Road Park, creating a new space for the community and visitors to gather, relax, and enjoy panoramic views of Victoria Harbour.

A Wellness Escape Just Hours Away

Whether you are cycling through Victoria Harbour, paddleboarding in Sai Kung, or catching a sunset at the waterfront, Hong Kong offers the perfect balance of movement and mindfulness — just a few hours away from Malaysia.

With cool weather, vibrant outdoor attractions, and endless new ways to explore, Hong Kong is ready to welcome Malaysians seeking a wellness getaway that feels both energising and restorative.
