Whether it’s in Malay or in English, fans have always looked forward to Yuna’s new music. The singer released her EP “Masih Yuna” last year to remind everyone that while she has moved to the United States, she hasn’t forgotten her roots. As she continues to grow as an artist, it’s only natural for her to show off some new skills through her music.
If you were at her “Yunaverse” concert last year then you must’ve been surprised to hear her singing a song partly in Spanish. If you were hoping to know more about the song, then today (Friday, 24th May) is finally the day. Earlier this morning, the Kedah-born songstress posted a teaser of her single titled “Bad Intentions” and shared more details about the track.
“This song meant a lot to me as it was my first time writing and singing in Spanish. I started learning in 2023 with some help from friends who speak the language and I’m so happy I got this opportunity to make this song!❤️” she captioned the post. It was also revealed in the captions that her husband Adam Sinclair directed the simple yet stunning music video.
Satisfied with how the track turned out, the singer confirmed that she’s currently writing a second song in her third language. She ended the post by thanking her fans for their support and hoping to see them in the Latin American region. As seen in the comments below, the teaser for the brand-new single received overwhelmingly positive feedback from local and international fans as well as celebrity friends.
Even influencer Ceddy Ang and TV personality Daphne Iking showed their love for the new song. If Yuna’s first song with Spanish lyrics already sounds this good then we’re definitely excited for the release of the second one, hopefully fully in Spanish!
