The weather has been pretty hot lately and everyone has found creative ways to keep themselves cool, including our little animal friends. Imagine this driver’s horror when he discovered a snake was literally keeping itself cool inside his car’s air-con vent.
Apart from air-con vents, other netizens have shared their stories of unlikely places they have found these reptiles taking shelter from the sun. This man was definitely shocked to find a python chilling in his motorcycle this week.
Earlier this week, a man who goes by Wan Muhammad Firdaus posted on the Honda RS-X 150/RS150R/Winner x Malaysia Facebook group where he recalled his experience of finding a large python inside his motorcycle seat. The rider explained that he felt something was off when he was riding his motorcycle and decided to stop at the nearest petrol station to refill his tank.
Much to his horror, a python was found motionless as the netizen opened the seat of his motorcycle. “My heart sank when I saw this creature. It was just relaxing there, so I just went and refill my tank. Luckily, there was a male staff member to help me remove the snake from my bike and place it in a bag,” he wrote. Firdaus added that the snake has been safely released back into the wild.
The rider ended his post by reminding everyone to be careful and check their vehicles for any signs of animals that may be taking shelter from the scorching heat. The rider wasn’t the only one who had a surprising encounter with a slithering reptile.
Just last week, another netizen shared how they discovered a Paradise tree snake living inside their air-con. Despite having ‘Paradise’ in its name, the snake is known for paralysing its prey with its venomous fangs. Prior to this incident, Sinar Harian reported that a large python was found inside a toilet bowl of a man’s home in Kelantan.
The homeowner said that he was woken up by a strange sound coming from his bathroom. He immediately called authorities after discovering that there was a huge slithering reptile in his toilet bowl. These cases have been frequent lately so let’s keep a lookout for anything that may be crawling about in our houses and vehicles to escape the heat. Stay safe everyone!
