Coachella SZN has just ended. Aside from seeing a bunch of our fav artists performing in the three-day, two-weekend event, the annual music festival never fails to deliver some of the most memorable and iconic looks each year. Considering this year’s star-studded lineup, including performers like Blackpink, Bad Bunny, Metro Boomin, and Kali Uchis, the mainstage was graced with many bold performance looks.
Meanwhile, off stage, fashionable stars such as Bretman Rock, Emma Chamberlain, and Alix Earle also brought their best festival fashion into the mix, with looks that involve sheer clothing, silver embellishments and cutouts. Today, we’ll be taking a look at some of the outfits that celebs have worn during this year’s Coachella, and whether they’re YEA or… NAY!
Rosalía – YEA
Dressed in custom Acne Studios, Rosalia wore a sheer pink robe with lace-up detailing, a black bustier top and some black leather pants, finished with some big wraparound sunglasses. While it’s not as loud as the other outfits that have graced the stage, we love the details of the robe, which is why we give it a YEA.
Saweetie – NAY
We’re all for colour, but the colourful plastic balls on her bra top make the entire outfit look cheap and very crafty. And aside from the colours we really don’t see anything that stands out in this outfit, so it’s a nay from us!
Emma Chamberlain – YEA
Going full vintage, Emma Chamberlain wore a Vivienne Westwood vest paired with a vintage Diesel bag with some white hot pants and turtleneck. We like this look because it doesn’t look like the conventional ‘festival’ look, and it definitely screams ‘Emma Chamberlain’!
Hailey Bieber – NAY
If there’s one word to describe this outfit, it would be boring. Yes, the white tank top and baggy jeans is a great outfit for casual days where you wanna look effortlessly put together, but for a festival… it’s a bit underwhelming.
Alix Earle – YEA
The new ‘it girl’ of TikTok went for a bohemian-inspired look that you would typically see at a music festival. The outfit is embellished with intricate details, such as the cut outs as well as the sheer pants, showing off her incredible body and of course, the cheeky thong underneath.
Bretman Rock – YEA
As expected, Da Baddest Bretman Rock delivered some amazing lewks during Coachella weekend 2. He looked stunning in his top to bottom tan look by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. For the love of God, can more men dress in pleated skirts and thigh-high combat boots?!
Lil Huddy – NAY
We don’t have much to say about this look, and the colourful shirt doesn’t really do much either. What we would say is that it’s definitely something different from what we’re used to seeing on Lil Huddy, since he doesn’t usually wear light colours. But all in all; the entire fit is quite ‘meh‘.
Kali Uchis – YEA
Not only did Kali Uchis slay her performance at Coachella, bringing out multiple collaborators, including Tyler, the Creator; she also served some memorable looks on the main stage. On day three, she performed in a head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana denim outfit adorned with crystals and blue butterflies.
Jenna Ortega – NAY
Look, we LOVE Jenna, but this look unfortunately just isn’t doing it for us. It’s giving 2018 Coachella vibes and we were just expecting something more from the ‘Wednesday’ lead star. We like the sheer top, but everything else just looks kinda basic.
Blackpink – YEA
Blackpink brought both high energy and stunning looks to this year’s Coachella. Dressed in a black and metallic ensemble, the group made a statement with each of their looks during the two-day festival. For their encore looks, Lisa and Jennie both opted for tops with silver one-sided embellishments, while Jisoo donned a two-piece sheer look, and Rosé a more grungy take on the black and silver theme.
Bad Bunny – YEA
Bad Bunny wore a patchwork puffer jacket with some matching pants by ERL. What we love about this look is that it merges all kinds of patterns, like checkers, florals, plaids and other different motifs, making this a fun and vibrant look, and something you would expect from the Puerto Rican rapper.
