Baby Shima recently made an eyebrow-raising allegation against man. The singer took to her Instagram to call out an individual known as Bang Jamal for apparently “scamming” her.
Through a statement posted on social media this past weekend, Shima had called for the person to return her money. She also went on to claim that many people have fallen victim to the scammer.
“Bang Jamal, give me back my money as soon as possible! You didn’t answer my calls, and you didn’t even respond to my texts on WhatsApp!! Enough with scamming (other people)!!” the 30-year-old celeb wrote on Instagram. During a previous interview with Harian Metro, Shima revealed that she knew Bang Jamal through a friend. “He told me he wanted to collaborate with me for a business, but he ended up disappearing with the money I gave him,” she told the publication.
Just as netizens delved deeper into the speculations, it was revealed that the drama involving Shima and the “scammer” was merely a publicity stunt by Shima to promote her new single, aptly called “Bang Jamal”, which features TikToker @mamatgotnochill. According to Shima, all of the videos were only a gimmick to entertain her fans. Cue the eye roll.
“This is not a scam. Those who have followed me for a long time already know that I love entertaining (the public). In fact, if you take a look at all my postings about Bang Jamal, you can see that the content wasn’t that serious. Perhaps my acting (in the videos) looked real, that’s why people believed that I was scammed,” she told Kosmo.
Shima has since apologised for causing drama. That’s why one can never trust these special breed of local celebs.
