Being a celebrity can be quite lonely. As a public figure, it can be hard to tell if someone actually loves you for you or for your fame and fortune. But some are willing to take that risk and find love by going on blind dates set up by friends or by dating someone in the industry and seeing where that takes them.
Internet personality MsPuiyi (real name Siew Pui Yi) is no different. After ending her relationship with model Oskar Lee a few months back, she’s now ready to find herself a new boyfriend. Sort of. The Penthouse cover model recently took to the streets to ask random strangers a very sudden question: “Will you be my boyfriend?” Here’s what happened:
In a video posted by the 24-year-old on her Facebook, she explained that she wanted to try out a challenge that’s been trending on TikTok. The challenge requires one to go up to random strangers in public and ask if they will be willing to become their boyfriend or girlfriend. Curious to know how people will react, the influencer decided to try the TikTok challenge at Bukit Bintang.
The controversial celeb believes the people at her chosen location are friendly and should not be too surprised by her sudden actions. Throughout the video, we can see MsPuiyi asking random men around the area with the help of four girls. Unfortunately for her, most of them rejected her “request” to be her boyfriend by either walking away, saying they were taken, or by simply answering, “No”. The was only one man she didn’t dare ask as she mistook him for politician Syed Saddiq.
Out of the twenty-eight men that she asked, there were a total of four who accepted her proposal. From the results, MsPuiyi concluded that KL men are very shy and jokingly captioned the video “Am I not attractive enough? “. The light-hearted post was met with mostly positive comments by netizens as they found the content funny and amusing. Some even commented that they were willing to be her boyfriend.
If any of you are willing to say yes to being MsPuiyi’s new boyfriend, then it’ll be good for you to know that she’s more than just her brand. The content creator previously shared how her personal identity differs from her online persona.
