Yikes! It’s revealed that Oscar winner Tom Hanks and wife, Rita Wilson have tested positive for coronavirus a.k.a Covid-19.
The unfortunate news was shared by the A-lister himself on his Instagram account earlier today (Wednesday, 12th March).

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” Hanks wrote.
The “Forrest Gump” actor continued, “Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves! Hanx!’
According to People, Hanks is currently in Gold Coast for the pre-production of a yet-to-be-titled Elvis Presley biopic, directed by Baz Luhrmann. He takes on the role of the legendary music icon’s manager Colonel Tom Parker. As a result, filming for the movie has been halted.
To date, there has been over 121,545 confirmed cases recorded worldwide, with over 4373 deaths.
