Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) and Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai (賴國弘) recently held another wedding again – this time, in Hong Kong.
The duo previously got married in Los Angeles earlier in May, but they did not officially register their marriage until this week. The intimate ceremony saw close friends and family members in attendance.
The 37-year-old Hong Kong singer-actress wore a short blush-pink dress with a plunging neckline that had designs of burgundy flowers. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old groom looked dapper in a blue suit.
Chung and Lai exchanged vows at the waterfront ceremony at Tsim Sha Tsui. According to sources, the pop star apparently lost 10 pounds “through a rigorous exercise regimen” in order to look her best on her big day.
Asia One reported that there were 30 people in attendance, while Jayne Stars alleged that there were approximately 100 guests. Among those who came include her boss and EEG founder Albert Yeung (楊受成), Mani Fok (霍汶希), Joey Yung (容祖兒), Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡), Leo Ku (古巨基), Kenny Kwan (關智斌), and of course her former Twins bandmate, Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍).
During the traditional tea ceremony, Albert Yeung jokingly warned the Taiwanese gynecologist, “You have to treat her well; if not, you don’t need to come to Hong Kong“. After the ceremony, Lai expressed his gratitude, “Thank you everyone. I’m very happy to sign papers and officially get married with my wife.”

According to Jayne Stars, Lai was previously married to online apparel entrepreneur, Ivy Chao. The marriage only lasted for 6 months before it ended in 2016. Hopefully, 2nd time is the charm now that Lai has Chung in his life.
