Planning to go back to your hometown this Hari Raya Aidilfitri? Why not skip the holiday traffic by taking the train?
In conjunction with the coming Raya holidays in July, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced that they will be making available 333,000 train tickets for its electric train (ETS) and KTM Intercity train services.
According to KTMB, train tickets for journeys starting from 24th June to 17th July will start sales at 8:30am on Friday (3rd June). The train company stated that tickets are sold early to enable passengers to better plan their trip.
Train tickets can be bought at KTMB ticket counters or online via www.ktmb.com.my. Customers are advised to check the details on the tickets, such as date and time, before leaving the counter.
KTMB’s ETS and intercity train routes include Johor, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis, Selangor, Perak, Thailand, and Singapore.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on 6th and 7th July this year so make sure you plan your holidays well. Also, here are some upcoming Malaysian public holidays for the rest of 2016 that might come in handy 😉
