The team has put in extra effort to ensure that the celebration with the iconic cartoon figure would stick in the minds of our visitors for a very long time as they spend their time with their loved ones while reminiscing the classic characters that are brought to life here at LWOT,” said Nurul Nuzairi Bin Mohd Azahari, General Manager of Lost World Of Tambun.
Taking place at Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh from 24th November 2018 to 1st January 2019, here are 5 reasons why you should definitely bring your loved ones to the pawsome Garfield & Friends campaign!
1. It is Garfield’s 40 years anniversary
You read that right! The lazy and sarcastic cat has recently turned 40 this year, but he is still the same as ever. Started off as a comic strip in 1978 by Jim Davis, Garfield today has turned into an iconic character known throughout the world and all generations. The cat with an attitude – the catitude, to be precise – held the Guinness World Record for being the world’s most widely syndicated comic strip which is ready by 200 million people daily!
2. Only available in Lost World of Tambun
Every school holiday, LWOT will bring in various famous cartoon characters to their park for some special events and campaigns. Last year, the park featured the Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10, and earlier this year, they had Winx Club during the March school holiday. Come November, LWOT will bring Garfield & Friends to Malaysia for the 1st time ever. Yes, this will be the first and only place in Malaysia to feature Garfield-themed event.
3. Fun games and activities
Enjoy a plethora of fun-filled activities from performances to challenging stations as well as a dance fiesta with Garfield at the Awesome Pool Party! Be sure to collect stickers with the exclusive Garfield passport at each Garfield-themed station games, and remember to also join Garfield and his friends during their meet and greet session at the House Of Garfield every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
4. Edutainment at Catopia

As a theme park that focuses more on the wonders of nature, bringing the Garfield & Friends over to LWOT is definitely a good call as the character is in line with the theme park’s very own Catopia, a kitty galore home with diverse types of rare feline breeds. During the campaign, Catopia will be having a special Garfield event where kids can participate and learn about breeds of cats that are closest to Garfield.
5. Surprises and promos
Some special and limited Garfield merchandise and goods will be available during the campaign period. Furthermore, in celebration with Garfield’s 40th anniversary, December babies will get a free cupcake on every weekend throughout the month of December just by showing their MyKid or MyKad to the LWOT team.
