It’s been a long time coming, but she’s here now!
Who is “she”? It’s none other than 2NE1‘s Park Bom, whom most of us haven’t seen in a long time since her drug scandal last year.
2NE1’s fandom went haywire over a clip and a photo of Park Bom spotted outside of the YG Entertainment building. It marked her first appearance in public since her year-long hiatus.
According to Koreaboo, the photo and video of Bom spotted leaving the building were posted online by a fan on 20th October (Tuesday). Needless to say, both the photo and video immediately sparked some discussions online.
Though it was only for a fleeting 3 seconds, Blackjacks (as 2NE1 fans are lovingly known) were comforted knowing that she’s alive and well:

Some doubted the authencity of the clip, but the owner of the original clip was quick to clarify that it was taken on 19th October (Monday).
Fans of the singer also began to speculate her sudden reappearance at the company’s building, especially when YG’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk recently posted an Instagram photo of 2NE1 in celebration of the group’s 6th year anniversary.

The post was a photo of 2NE1’s debut single “Fire” that came with the caption: “#2NE1 #벌써6년 #6YEARS ALREADY”.
It was an ambiguous update, as some speculated that the girl group is currently preparing for a comeback. However, the rest of the group members are busy with their own solo activities. CL is focusing on her US debut while Dara and Minzy are busy with drama projects and a self-established dance academy respectively.
If it’s true that they’re making a comeback soon, it will mark their first comeback since releasing their 2nd studio album “Crush” in 2014.
