After much waiting and speculation, fans can look forward to new BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) music very soon! YG Entertainment confirmed that the quartet will debut their comeback track at their upcoming “DEADLINE” concert in Seoul.

Yesterday (23rd June 2025, Monday), the music label spoke with news outlets to share more details about BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated comeback. Previously, there were reports that the girl group would release new music in early July, alongside the start of their “DEADLINE” world tour. YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK will unveil their new song for the first time at their concert in Goyang, scheduled for 5th and 6th July (Saturday & Sunday).

A representative from the company said, “There were many discussions about how to announce the new song, and we decided to premiere it at the Goyang concert, which marks the start of the “DEADLINE” world tour and the reunion with fans.” More details about the song and the release date will be announced soon. However, YG Entertainment previously shared that the BLACKPINK members have concluded the filming for a new music video.

While it’s unknown whether the new song is part of an album, this upcoming track will mark BLACKPINK’s first group release in approximately two years and 10 months. After all four members departed from YG Entertainment in 2023 following the expiration of their exclusive contracts, they released solo music under their respective labels. Fans have also been looking forward to new group music from the quartet.

In the meantime, Jennie (제니), Lisa (리사), Jisoo (지수), and Rosé (로제) are preparing for their world tour, which includes stops in London, New York and Bangkok. However, BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans) in other countries, including Malaysia, hope the tour will announce more stops. While the tour has received a lot of interest from fans and non-fans alike, YG Entertainment has received backlash for their “last-minute” and lazy planning.
