Can you believe it has been more than a year since Prince Mateen of Brunei and his wife, Princess Anisha, tied the knot? The couple hosted a ten-day royal wedding, and it was undoubtedly one of the most iconic celebrations of 2024.
Throughout the past year, the royal couple has offered glimpses into their daily lives, as they travel to various countries and fulfil their official duties. From time to time, they shared photos from their holidays, and most recently, they updated fans on their trip to Venice.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 16 April), Prince Mateen posted a carousel of photos on his personal Instagram page, showing himself and his wife, Princess Anisha, on their recent holiday in Venice, Italy. “Spring leave road trip”, he captioned the highly-aesthetic photo dump. The images showed the couple in various locations around the city, with some resembling stills from classic Western films.
Of course, a trip to Venice is never complete without a romantic boat ride on the canals, as seen in one of the photos. Prior to their visit to the iconic city of waterways, the royal couple were in London, where they were spotted taking a drive through the countryside in an open-top Ferrari and attending a football match.
The 33-year-old Prince of Brunei doesn’t post on Instagram all that often, so it’s no surprise that fans were excited when they were notified he had finally shared what he and his wife have been up to lately. Many commented on the latest Venice post, expressing how happy they were to see the lovebirds, while others praised how beautiful the photos turned out.
It’s lovely to see Prince Mateen and Princess Anisha taking time out from their busy schedules to enjoy some quality time together, travelling the world. Where will the couple head to next?
