Chinese actor Wang Xing (王星) made global headlines after going missing when travelling to Thailand. The star was a victim of human trafficking but was since rescued by authorities. However, the public now fears another actor is in the same operation.
Following the news that Wang Xing was found safe in Myanmar, reports emerged that Chinese actor He Junmin (何俊旻) also disappeared after travelling to Thailand. According to news outlets, the star had a similar story to Wang Xing, apparently travelling to the Southeast Asian country for an acting gig. He Junmin arrived in Thailand on 3rd January 2025 (Friday) but lost contact with friends shortly after his arrival.

Chinese actress Shao Yifan (邵逸凡) was the one to alert the public about He Junmin’s case, saying she recently received a message from the actor after losing contact. However, she noted his replies were suspicious, and he refused to answer video calls. Even when the actor sent a voice message, his tone implied that he may be under duress. When Shao Yifan asked for a photo to prove his current status, He Junmin sent an image from December.
Most surprisingly, He Junmin claimed that he was unaware of the recent news involving fellow actor Wang Xing. This statement raises eyebrows because of the widespread media coverage surrounding the issue. The public is now urging authorities to take action, growing concerned for the actor amidst reports of potential trafficking and scams. Meanwhile, Wang Xing is still in Thailand to assist authorities on his case to hopefully find the person behind his disappearance.

It’s believed that the Thai and Myanmar governments are actively investigating the matter. We hope they can locate He Junmin and any other victims and bring them to safety.
