Reckless driving is a growing concern on today’s roadways, often leading to tragic consequences. Whether it involves speeding, ignoring traffic laws, or even the drivers’ behaviours, the risky action will eventually result in endangering a person’s life.
A video went viral recently on TikTok with 3.2 million views (at the time of writing) involving an individual’s dangerous driving skills. Shockingly, the dangerous act caused by the individual almost resulted in a tragic accident involving other vehicles.
The incident took place in an area at Genting Highlands, Pahang, a known location for car enthusiasts to test drive their vehicle’s abilities. At the beginning of the video, the Honda Civic can be seen speeding downhill and attempting to drift at a roundabout. After failing the drift and losing control of the car, the driver stopped in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. Thankfully, one oncoming Honda City managed to avoid the Civic and drove away smoothly, narrowly escape a collision.
Without any guilt or apology to the other vehicle, the Honda Civic then proceeded to make a U-turn, drove away at high speed, and overtook numerous cars along the way. This caused outrage among local netizens, calling the driver out for driving irresponsibly on the road, which almost caused a tragic crash with numerous vehicles. They also hoped the authorities would take legal action against the driver’s risky stunt.
Many other netizens angrily remarked that if the driver’s actions had caused a collision on the road, it would have simply inconvenienced others who would have to deal with the aftermath. On the other hand, one individual praised the Honda City for skillfully avoiding the car and driving off. Despite the dangerous situation, a few netizens jokingly speculated that the Honda Civic driver might have been embarrassed by the failed drifting attempt.
