Schools are out, and the holiday season has finally begun! This is the perfect time for family gatherings, road trips, and exciting year-end adventures around Kuala Lumpur.

Wondering where to go in our capital city that will blow your kids’ minds? Fear not—here are 5 family-friendly spots around KL to visit during the year-end holidays:

1. Alice Saves Wonderland

The year-end holidays wouldn’t be complete without heading off for an unforgettable adventure! Newly launched at locals’ favourite hotspot, TRX, Alice Saves Wonderland would make the kids jump for joy. The whole place is filled with interactive areas and magical digital art installations. Also, to kids and adults alike, don’t miss the chance to snap some Instagram-worthy pictures at Rabbit House, Mystical Forest, and many more!

Operating Hours: 10am – 9:45pm (Monday to Sunday)

Talking about adventures, we can’t ever leave Resorts World Genting out of the list. Genting Skyworld is the definite location to visit, especially when you have kids. Spanning over 26 acres, this outdoor theme park will surely take you on an unforgettable adventure through 9 movies and adventure-themed ‘universes!’ The kids would not want to head home after all the excitement at places such as Eale Mountain, Ice Age, Liberty Lane and more!

3. Sunway Lagoon

With a range of over 90 attractions across 88 acres, Sunway Lagoon is the place to put on your to-do list if you have kids. Your visit to the waterpark would be the holiday of your dreams, as you can have the time of your life exploring thrilling adventures and rides, such as the Sunway Lost Lagoon, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, and the list goes on!

4. Petrosains, The Discovery Centre

Science lover, this adventure is for you! Another well-known spot in KL that doesn’t only attract the younger generation, but the adults as well! Petrosains will have us all experiencing technology, animals, and many more, ideal as a learning process for everyone. Come face-to-face with everything related to Science through interactive exhibits such as the Science Centre, the Energy Capsule Ride, and lots more that’ll leave the kids wanting more!

5. Farm Fresh UPM

This final location would definitely excite the kids, as it is set in an open space, surrounded by nature! This adventure is at Farm Fresh UPM (Universiti Putra Malaysia), where children and adults alike can have fun meet-and-greet sessions with cows, baby goats, bunnies, and chicks! You can even enjoy some fresh, milky, soft-serve ice cream as well, with the comforts of nature all around you on the farm life holiday getaway! Also, you can even get a chance to ride around the farm, either in a tractor or on a horse, to get the full farm life experience!
