Whenever two famous K-pop idols are seen together, fans would immediately assume that they are secretly dating but that’s not the case most of the time. Some speculations have been a little too farfetched to be true. Still, if these celebs were caught walking side by side in public, it would usually send the internet into a frenzy.
Speaking of dating rumours, earlier this week, BLACKPINK’s Jennie (김제니) and GOT7’s BamBam (뱀뱀) were spotted hanging out together during their trip in the United States. According to reports, the idols were seen dining with acquaintances at a Sushi Park restaurant in Los Angeles.
Their interaction drew a lot of attention from K-pop fans after paparazzi photos of them walking side by side circulated on social media. The singers’ meetup sparked dating rumours given how rarely third-generation idols see each other outside of work.
However, some suggested that their relationship may not be romantic since the GOT7 member is close friends with Lisa, so he has probably met with the other BLACKPINK girls numerous times before. Fans also speculate that the artists’ gathering may be work-related.
As you all know, Jennie is currently working on her debut solo album under her own label in partnership with Columbia Records while BamBam has always featured other K-pop idols on his “Bam House” YouTube show. With this in mind, it’s very possible that the two may be collaborating on something.
At the time of writing, neither idols nor their agencies have addressed the rumours and speculations. Regardless if it was just a friendly meeting or an actual date, fans are still excited to see Jennie and BamBam comfortably hanging out together now that they have more freedom in their career.

Jennie’s label OA Entertainment officially released a statement to deny the dating rumours saying, “The two, who have been friends for a while, met up for a meal in the United States.”
