After months of speculation, fans finally got the answer of what’s happening between Malaysian celebrity couple Fazura and Fattah Amin. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be the answer many hoped for because the actress has reportedly filed for divorce from her actor husband.
According to reports, the actress, whose full name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, filed for divorce at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Shah Alam earlier today (13th September). Fazura didn’t appear in court, and her lawyer was the one who handled the matter of the filing. A spokesperson for the star didn’t reveal details of the divorce but asked for the public’s understanding.
Fazura and Fattah tied the knot on 27th November 2017 and have one daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, who is now four. The two appeared to have had a happy marriage, often showing off their love on social media. However, recently, there were speculations that there was trouble in paradise. These allegations came after netizens noticed the two had stopped expressing their affection for each other on any public platform.
The couple has also reportedly begun spending less time together. In August, Fazura most notably went on an overseas trip without her husband, which many noted is a rarity for the usually inseparable couple. She also posted a cryptic image of roses on Instagram, which many fans took as a sign that she was dealing with marital problems. On the other hand, Fattah has kept silent on the matter and focused on his acting career instead.
Following the news of the divorce filing, many netizens began sharing words of support to Fazura and Fattah’s social media accounts. Some urged them to reconcile for the sake of their young daughter, while others instead say they’ll support the two no matter what happens between them. Unfortunately, there were also rumours that the divorce was due to Fattah’s infidelity, which led many to criticise him on his social media page.
While it’s sad for fans to see the separation of one of Malaysia’s beloved couples, we wish the best for both Fazura and Fattah.
