In January 2023, we got to witness the former Agong Sultan Abdullah of Pahang and his wife Tunku Azizah doing the Poco Poco dance – a popular line dance from Maluku province in Indonesia – at Prince Mateen and Princess Dayang Anisha’s wedding. Seeing the Pahang and Brunei Royals cutely dancing to the song together was certainly a sight to behold.
It looks like the Pahang Crown Prince, Tengku Hassanal followed in his parents’ footsteps as he too was recently seen doing the popular dance at his sister’s wedding. Here’s what went down:
Last week, the people of Pahang got to witness the first day of Tengku Afzan and her now-husband FD Idzham’s 4-day wedding ceremony which took place at the Tasek Kotasas, Kuantan. During the last day of the royal wedding event which took place on 25th August (Sunday), the Pahang Princess’ brother Tengku Hassanal was seen shyly joining in on the Poco Poco dance.
As seen in the TikTok video posted by @/ciksiety yesterday (Wednesday, 28th August), His Royal Highness awkwardly tried to keep up with the choreography for a brief moment before stopping and approaching a woman, possibly a relative. The precious moment instantly went viral with netizens saying how adorable the Pahang Prince looked in the video. Some pointed out how polite he was dancing to the fun song.
Apart from the Prince’s cute dance, guests were also treated to a performance by Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza, who sang her hit “Bukan Cinta Biasa” during the ceremony. The icon thanked the Pahang Royal family for inviting her to perform for the grand event in an Instagram Reel posted on 26th August (Monday).
