They say that “love is blind” and this K-pop idol proved it to be true. Earlier this year, singer-actress Song Jieun (송지은), a former member of the girl group Secret (시크릿), announced to the world that she would be tying the knot with her boyfriend YouTuber and disability activist Park We (박위) later this October.
The 34-year-old publicly introduced her lover in an Instagram post back in December and many were surprised to learn that he was in a wheelchair. The revelation received overwhelmingly positive reactions from fans who congratulated the celeb on her relationship. In preparation for the big day, the “Shh, Please Take Care of Him” star shared some pre-wedding photos and fans were in awe of the stunning images.

The photoshoot took place at Ateso Studios and showcased the happy couple posing together in wedding attire. However, it is not known if the outfits they wore in the photos would be the same as the ones they’d be wearing on the day of the ceremony. Regardless, fans congratulated the lovebirds and commented how perfect they are for each other.
However, one netizen started a thread to show appreciation for the photographer who took careful consideration of their disabled client. In a Tweet posted on Saturday (24th August), the fan claimed that most photographers would not provide mobility aid for wheelchair-bound clients but as shown in the idol’s photos, it was evident that the cameraperson gave her husband-to-be the best treatment.
Another user agreed with the claim saying that some photographers would attempt to creatively hide their clients’ disabilities in the photos with the use of props, furniture and angles. The rest of the comments were from fans who were awestruck by the ethereal images of the lovely couple.
We’re glad to know that Ateso Studios gave Song Jieun and Park We the best service they could offer and we too would like to congratulate the soon-to-be-husband and wife on their upcoming big day! Check out the behind-the-scenes video of the pre-wedding photoshoot:
