Over the weekend, K-pop star Doh Kyungsoo (도경수) charmed local fans at his first solo fan concert, “BLOOM”, at Axiata Arena. While the singer, also known as D.O (디오), couldn’t stay longer in the country, it seems that he still had the chance to feast on some delicious Malaysian food.
Kyungsoo’s agency, Company SooSoo, recently shared several photos of the talented star trying out some Malaysian food during his recent KL trip. The EXO (엑소) member is a known foodie – and a great chef – so it’s unsurprising that his agenda while in Malaysia includes feasting on our local delicacies. According to the photos, the 31-year-old’s Malaysian feast included nasi lemak, roti canai, roti tisu, fried rice, fried noodles, satay, curry noodles and apam balik.
As shown from the photoset, Kyungsoo first munched on a piece of fried chicken before trying out some curry noodles. He then took a bite of the comically large roti tisu, chomping down with gusto. The “Popcorn” vocalist also tried apam balik, taking a big bite of the peanut-filled sweet snack. Judging from Kyungsoo’s reactions in the photos, it’s safe to say that he was satisfied with the food in Malaysia.
Many Malaysian EXO-Ls have also reacted to the photoset with glee, showing excitement about Kyungsoo dining on local cuisines. Most fans showed amusement in his reaction to the roti tisu and how happy he seemed when he ate the dish. Funnily enough, some fans even pointed out that someone, either the singer or a member of his team, had poured the tarik into a bowl rather than a cup, leading to some hilarious reactions.
Many fans also urged Kyungsoo to return to Malaysia as soon as possible so he could dine on more yummy Malaysian treats. We’re glad the singer could have a local food feast despite his limited time in the country – and we also hope to see him back in KL real soon!
