The day is almost here! After announcing the “H.E.R. World Tour” in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year, fans have bent over backwards to get their hands on the tickets to see K-pop sensation IU (아이유) live at Axiata Arena this 8th and 9th June. The singer safely landed at KLIA last night (Thursday, 6th June) where she received a warm welcome from her Uaenas there.
Much to their surprise and delight, they got more than just seeing the famous idol that evening. Usually, it’s always the fans who prepare gifts for their favourite artists but this time, it was IU herself who prepared something special for her adoring fans.
A sea of Uaenas excitedly welcomed the K-pop idol as soon as she exited the arrival gates at KLIA, waving at her as she passed them by. What they probably didn’t expect was that the songstress prepared a range of Korean snacks for her fans who have been patiently waiting for her. As seen in the photos above, the snacks were given to them in large plastic bags and distributed among themselves.
Many took to Twitter to thank IU for taking the time and effort to prepare treats for her fans before her concert this weekend. Others pointed out that this was not actually the first time the “Love Wins All” artist has done something like this.
Throughout the tour, she has consistently handed out Korean snacks to her fans in other countries who had been waiting for her at the airport as a way to show her appreciation towards them. Thankfully for her Malaysian fans, they got a taste of Korean hospitality even though she’s the one currently visiting our country.
It’s definitely heartwarming to see IU making sure that her fans feel just as loved. We’re sure that Malaysian Uaenas will return the favour by having the time of their lives at her concert. Here’s a compilation video of fans greeting the idol at the airport:
