It’s the moment all the Malaysian SHINee World (Shawol) have been waiting for! SHINee (샤이니) leader Onew (온유) recently announced his first-ever solo fan meet tour and he’s bringing the tour to Malaysia! That’s right – after an illustrious 16-year career in the music industry, Onew will be the first SHINee member to make his way to our shores with his fan meet tour “GUESS!”.
Onew, whose full name is Lee Jinki (이진기), debuted in 2008 as the leader and main vocalist of SHINee. His career in the group cemented the singer as one of K-pop’s most distinguished idols and distinctive vocalists. Besides his work with SHINee, Onew also has a reputable solo career, having made his solo debut with his first EP, “Voice”. Since then, the 35-year-old has released another EP plus two full-length albums – one in Korean and one in Japanese.
Earlier this year, Onew departed from SM Entertainment and joined Griffin Entertainment. He has also teased his plans under the new management, hinting at a ton of new projects. The first project is none other than his fan meet tour, which was originally scheduled for three stops in South Korea and Japan. However, five other stops – including one in Malaysia – were added to the tour after demand from his loving fans.
“GUESS!” is Onew’s first fan meet tour since his debut in 2008. The tour will start in Seoul, South Korea, before moving to Osaka, Yokohama, Macau, Manila, Kaohsiung, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Here are the details of Onew’s fan meet in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore:

Good news, SHINee World! The organiser for Onew’s “GUESS” fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur has dropped more details for the highly-anticipated event! MND Sports & Event Sdn. Bhd. has confirmed they will be the organiser for the K-pop idol’s first fan meeting in Malaysia, along with JS Concert Productions. The event is set for 27th July (Saturday) at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam.
MND Sports & Event said, “We (the organisers) are very excited and honoured to bring Onew for the first time in the history of his 16-year involvement in his career to attend a four-point meet and mingle with fans in Malaysia.” Onew himself also left a short message for all his fans that read: “See you in GUESS! ONEW FANMEETING 2024 IN MALAYSIA. There’s a surprise waiting for you and I can’t wait.”
