If you’re just starting to get into K-pop then you should know that some of these idols are in group chats together, more specifically, the Thai idols. It has been confirmed that this group chat, known as the “태국 (Thai)-line”, consists of idols from different groups such as CLC‘s Sorn, NCT‘s Ten, GOT7‘s BamBam, (G)I-DLE‘s Minnie, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
Last year, BamBam shared the real reason why 2PM’s Nichkhun left the chat saying that it can get pretty chaotic since all the members apart from the “Hands Up” singer are about the same age. Now Minnie (민니/มินนี่) has been exposed by another member of the group chat that she’s terrible at returning their calls and texts. Here’s the full story:
(G)I-DLE‘s Minnie appeared on the latest episode of Thai celebrity presenter Vuthithorn “Woody” Milintachinda‘s YouTube show “Woody Sing” which was posted yesterday (Tuesday, 12th March). During the car ride interview, the host asked the young star if she was an active phone user, to which she answered yes.
However, contradictory to her reply, he then revealed that he heard from a mutual friend of theirs that the idol was almost impossible to get a hold of as she’s terrible at texting or calling her friends back. “I don’t want to gossip but there’s one friend, she said, ‘Minnie, she never text me back. I called her 3 times and she never picked up her phone’,” he told the “Queencard” singer.
Although Woody didn’t mention any names, Minnie suspected it was BLACKPINK’s Lisa (리사). She then explained that she usually answers her phone unless she’s busy with work but will call them right away if she receives 2 to 3 missed calls. She also admitted she’s terrible at replying back to her friends.
This part of the interview went viral on social media with netizens jokingly volunteering to drop everything to answer a phone call from Lisa. Some were not so surprised by this revelation as other members of (G)I-DLE have complained about Minnie’s bad habit before. Watch the full video below or skip to 5:34.
