The local entertainment industry is still talking about what happened between celebs Aliff Aziz and Ruhainies after reports say they were arrested by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) officials at a luxury condominium.
One of the celebrities sharing their reaction to the ordeal is renowned local producer Datuk A. Aida, who has allegedly banned Ruhainies from her future productions because of the ordeal. Through her TikTok and Instagram accounts, the producer, whose real name is Zaidah Awang, expressed her disappointment over the recent issue. She also said she will no longer allow the associated artist to act in her production company’s future projects.
Local media Harian Metro has approached the 54-year-old to clarify her post. The producer admitted that her words were about the star, whose real name is Ruhainies Zainul Ilyas. Aida also added she will no longer be working with the 31-year-old, saying the decision was to set an example for other problematic artists.
In the interview, Aida said, “I don’t want her (Ruhainies) to act in my productions anymore. I don’t want the issue surrounding her alleged involvement with actor Aliff Aziz in a khalwat (being in close proximity) case to affect the dramas or telemovies produced by my company.” She also revealed that Ruhainies was supposed to be involved in a telefilm produced by her company, but she will be replacing the actress because of the controversy.
According to Aida, the issue involving the star is serious, so she won’t hold back on replacing her. She added that the blacklist will extend to any artist causing issues. As for Ruhainies’ replacement, the producer said she’s considering Bella Astillah, Aliff Aziz’s wife. She said hiring Bella would be good because she gets along with the actress and wants to maintain a good relationship.
What do you think about this? Do you believe A.Aida made a good move by banning Ruhainies from her productions?
