Though he may not consider himself the perfect husband, celebrity medical professional, Dr. Say Shazril has expressed his opinions on certain marital issues, especially when it comes to how husbands treat their wives. Over the weekend, the celebrity doctor posted a TikTok video to share his thoughts on the topic of infidelity.
Although he did not mention any names, it has been speculated that he was referring to the recent cheating allegations against actor Aliff Aziz. Here’s what he said in his post:
As seen in the video below, Dr. Say brought up the topic after hearing the news of a man allegedly caught cheating on his wife for the second time. “This is not the first time he’s done it. To quote Maya Angelou, ‘When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.’ If that person was caught cheating, best believe they’ll do it again,” he said.
The medical content creator added that he’s fully aware that his statement may backfire but insisted that this is the reality many have endured. “Once a cheater, always a cheater. So for those who are currently going through this with their partner, do not stay silent. Release yourself from this mental and emotional torture. At the end of the day, your self matters more than anyone,” he elaborated.
As expected, netizens began assuming that Dr. Say was referring to Aliff Aziz’s cheating allegations where he and actress Ruhainies were arrested by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) after the two were spotted together at the latter’s luxury condominium in Kuala Lumpur. Many commented that actress Bella Astillah, who is married to Aliff, should leave her husband while others offered words of comfort for the mother-of-two.
Meanwhile, neither Aliff nor Ruhainies have released official statements regarding their arrest. However, the actress did briefly address the allegations with Berita Harian saying that it’s not what many made it out to be. “We’ve known each other for 10 years and are currently working together on a project. We’ve only met for 30 minutes that day, not 3 hours as rumours suggested. I’ll explain everything in an official statement soon,” she explained.
As for Bella Astillah, she has yet to come forward with her statement regarding her husband’s alleged infidelity. Watch Dr. Say’s full video below:
@say_shazril0 Baik kepada wanita mahupun lelaki. Sy percaya yg manusia ni susah nak berubah. Kena sekali mungkin boleh dimaafkan tapi kalau dah kena dua, tiga atau berkali-kali, you are only hurting yourself. Make the wise move and walk away. Mungkin susah sebab anak2 tapi bukankah lagi sayu bila anak2 tengok mak menangis seorang diri, terkapai2 seorang diri? You are better than this.
