First, it was McDonald’s, then IOI City Mall and now OREOs! In case you haven’t heard, Mondelez, the company that produces OREO, recently released their limited OREO Pokémon cookies featuring our favourite little characters and of course, the one and only Pikachu!

As you can see in the video below by Konbini Boy, the new limited OREO Pokémon cookies come in 2 kinds of packaging. The packaging that features multiple Pokémon on them are the assorted cookies, which come in Vanilla (original flavour), Strawberry, and Chocolate.

The special edition (bright yellow) packaging that features the Electric mouse-type mascot comes in the unique flavour of Choco Banana. As you can see in the post above, each cookie pack features 16 Pokémon character designs as well as a photo card of those characters. Those 16 characters are:

  • Pikachu
  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Bulbasaur
  • Jigglypuff
  • Mew (Rarest)
  • Sableye
  • Sandshrew
  • Rowlet
  • Piplup
  • Lapras
  • Dratini
  • Cyndaquil
  • Pancham
  • Grookey
  • Snivy

Here’s a fun fact for you: the two brands collaborated on these special edition cookies a few years back but they were only available in the US. It was only very recently that they made their way to Asian countries including Malaysia and Singapore, where you can purchase for SGD$3.34 (RM11) per pack and SGD$4.34 (RM15.41) for the special yellow edition in the neighbouring country.

How much do they cost in Malaysia, you asked? Fans can purchase on Lazada for RM18.92 (Chocolate Banana OREOs Multipack Bundle of 2), RM15.56 (Strawberry OREOs Multipack Bundle of 2), or RM10.29 (Vanilla OREOs Rolls Pack Bundle of 3). Don’t worry, you can also get the usual roll pack for RM4.10 as well.

If you haven’t started “catching them all” yet, then better hurry as this is a limited-time special collaboration. While we don’t have the exact end date in Malaysia, sales in supermarkets in Singapore will end in April 2024. We can’t be too sure about where the Pokémon-embossed cookies are being sold but according to our sources, you may be able to find them in a supermarket at Bukit Bintang.
