Most wedding ceremonies will usually prepare door gifts for the guests as a sign of gratitude for attending their big day. Nowadays, people have come up with many creative ideas for wedding door gifts such as renting out a Starbucks truck for guests to enjoy or giving away groceries.
A royal wedding is no exception to this custom. Let’s take a look at what guests who attended the Brunei royal wedding received in their goodie bags:

A video posted by @/savepalestine271 on TikTok showed what guests received after attending Prince Mateen and Princess Anisha Rosnah Adam (Anisha Isa-Kalebic)’s wedding which took place last Sunday (14th January) at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Since this was a Royal wedding, many guessed that attendees would receive some unique or luxurious items and they were right. The contents of the door gift are as below:
- Photo Album
- Ornaments
- Printed Plates
- Ceremonial and Lineage Book
- Patchi Chocolates
- Mont Blanc pen
While they may not seem like much, each item in the gift bag is either priceless or ridiculously expensive. The photo album, ornaments, printed plates and the ceremonial and lineage book are one-of-a-kind as you would not get these anywhere; even as merchandise as they are official Royal gifts from the palace.
Patchi Chocolates and the Mont Blanc pen are considered luxurious items with the former costing from RM85 to RM 358 (according to Grab Mart). While we can’t be certain which model the Mont Blanc pen in the video was, judging by the colour and design, we can assume that it was either the Meisterstück Gold-Coated Ballpoint Pen or the Meisterstück Gold-Coated Fountain Pen which cost starting from RM 1,920 and RM 2,875 respectively (depending on the size).
Netizens were bewildered by the value of these items. Curious to know how the uploader got their hands on the door gift? Well, the TikTok user replied that they work under the Brunei government and was invited to the wedding, which explains the exclusive content.
