Weddings are meant to be the happiest and most memorable day not only for the bride and groom but also for their loved ones. Most nuptial ceremonies will usually prepare door gifts for the guests as a gratitute for attending the event.
Some receptions prepare sweets in the door gift packaging while others have rented out a Starbucks truck for the guests to enjoy. While these may not be as fancy or “sweet”, here’s what guests at this wedding received as a door gift after attending the ceremony:

Yesterday (Monday, 2nd October), a video was posted on TikTok on the @malaysianupdatenews channel to show what this wedding guest received as a door gift at a reception. The guest opened the Tupperware wrapped in gold ribbon to reveal that it was actually filled with groceries.
The text in the video reads, “POV: You went to a wedding but felt like you just returned home from the supermarket”. The guest then took out each item from the container which include a sachet of rice, spices, sugar, flour, coconut milk and chips. While one door gift may not be enough to feed an entire family, those living alone will surely appreciate this gifts.
The TikTok post went viral with netizens being amazed by the creative door gift. Some praised the newlyweds for their generosity as they believe a Tupperware filled with groceries cost more than the usual door gifts filled with sweets or small ceramics. Others also shared that they’ve received similar gifts at other weddings as well.
There’s no information on who the newlywed couple is, but we applaud them for their creativity and generosity for the door gifts and wish them a happy and lasting marriage.
