Local content creator Bryan Wee is back with another travel vlog – this time, introducing the tourist attractions around Malacca. Of course, this isn’t your average travel video as Bryan doesn’t shy away from his usual antics.
In his video, the internet celeb shares a look at his one-day trip around Malacca where he checked out many of the tourist attractions, including Jonker Street and Christ Church. The video started off with Bryan cruising through the streets in a pink rickshaw and engaging in a conversation with the rickshaw driver. In Cantonese, Bryan also introduced the Christ Church and the local specialty, the chicken rice ball.
He then heads to a store to grab a tall ice cream cone for dessert but given that he is Bryan Wee, he couldn’t just have his dessert as most normally would. Instead, the content creator used this opportunity to “impress” his future husband by wholly swallowing a large chuck of the soft serve. He even joked about his skills, saying, “If you were my husband, you would be very happy.”
The content creator also checked out Jonker Street, where he stumbled upon a few fans. After posing for some photos, Bryan visited a couple of street stalls around the area before ending his trip at a satay celup (steamboat satay) restaurant. He even gave a brief review of the place, giving a thumbs up for the food.
Netizens reacted to Bryan’s Malacca vlog, sharing amusement for his travels. Some also commented on his Cantonese, praising him for trying his best but also saying that it sounded unnatural. One person even joked that it reminded them of Chinese actresses who try speaking in Cantonese when they’re in Hong Kong.
