If there’s one thing people know about local influencer Gatita Yan (Tong Lee Yan/颜颜), it’s that she’s loaded. The former OnlyFans creator has never been shy about flaunting her wealth and even shared her story of how she went from earning RM1.5k a month to making millions now.
However, just because you have so much money, doesn’t mean you should carelessly spend on things that you might end up regretting, especially if you didn’t do any research. Sadly, the Malaysian DJ was not happy that she spent so much money on one particular item. Here’s what happened:
Gatita Yan was recently on holiday in the United States with her boyfriend Tay Wee Shen (郑伟盛) and earlier this week, she posted a few IG stories to share about her recent disappointing purchases. At one point during the holiday abroad, the 31-year-old decided to buy some sex toys and sex pills. The influencer and her boyfriend just so happened to be passing by an adult shop and decided to check it out.
In one story, Gatita revealed that she’s always had an interest in sex toys and this is no surprise as well since she once did a business of selling these adult items in the past. “I spent thousands of ringgits on some [sex] toys and this pill, which was claimed to have some effects on women,” she wrote. She brought her purchases back to her accommodation but unfortunately, she was left disappointed with one of them.
In another Story, the local millionaire expressed her frustration about the pill saying that it only made her drowsy rather than aroused. Apparently, the pill cost her nearly RM200. While we can’t be too sure about which pill she bought, judging from the packaging in the photo, it appears to be the X Platinum 20000, which is actually a male sexual performance enhancement pill.
This would explain why it had no effect on Gatita as it was probably meant to be taken by her boyfriend. After checking the price for this specific capsule, according to Gear Isle and Walmart, it actually cost less than USD$13 which is roughly about RM50 to RM60.
So was this a case of her being scammed or her own foolishness for not properly checking the items before purchasing them?
