Korean-American actor Daniel Henney (다니엘 헤니) is now a married man! The 43-year-old had secretly wed his girlfriend, Asian-American actress Ru Kumagai.
On 20th October, a Korean news agency reported that the two had a private wedding ceremony in the United States. Daniel’s label, Echo Global Group, confirmed the news with a statement, saying, “Hello, this is Echo Global Group. We would like to inform you of actor Daniel Henney’s marriage. Daniel Henney has met someone whom he wants to spend the rest of his life with, and so he has decided to bear the fruit of those emotions through marriage. Daniel Henney’s partner is Ru Kumagai, an Asian American actress and model.”
In the announcement, the talent agency also acknowledged the past dating rumour involving the two stars, saying the rumour led to the couple officially dating. In 2018, Daniel and Ru were swept by dating rumours after posting similar photos taken at the same place. Both stars denied the dating rumours then, but after the rumours spread, they decided to start seeing each other. It is unknown when the relationship began as the two have kept it very low-profile.
According to the statement, the couple wedded in a private ceremony with only families present, adding that the ceremony happened recently. Echo Global Group also urges the public to respect the new couple, asking to refrain from excessive interest in their private lives but welcomes congratulatory messages for the two.
Daniel debuted as an actor in 2005 and has made a name for himself in the American and Korean entertainment scenes. He has starred in dramas and films like “My Lovely Samsoon” and “Missing” and voice-acted in the hit Disney movie “Big Hero 6”. Meanwhile, Ru is currently active as a model and has recently starred in the action comedy film, “Happy Mart”, which she also produced.
