Financially supporting your family can be seen as a noble thing but anything involving money can also lead to conflict. Unfortunately, that’s what singer Shila Amzah has been going through for many years now. Taking to IG Live, the singer broke her silence about the abuse and manipulation she endured from her family, or more specifically, two of her siblings.
A couple of days ago, Shila went on IG Live to address certain allegations made by her siblings as well as the rumours that’s been circulating about her family. For those who may not have been aware, there have been several reports regarding the two siblings accusing the songstress of wanting to kick them out of their home to sell their house.

During the live broadcast, the Malaysian celeb talked about how heartbroken she is after finding out what her siblings had been saying behind her back and regrets not being a good enough sister. At one point during the livestream, she revealed how her younger brother Amir Syafiq had physically assaulted her during a confrontation.
“I came home one day to him slapping me in the face. He wanted to show how he was in power and how hurt he was by all this but he’s actually in a lot of debt. I paid for his wedding, you know? Go and ask him if he has already paid child support for his kid,” said the 33-year-old. Shila then went on to say how she has reached her limit and will no longer stay silent after enduring so much pain.
If her claims about her brother being abusive and manipulative weren’t convincing enough, the Asian Wave award winner’s ex-sister-in-law, Nurul Anis Waheeda, Syafiq’s ex-wife, came to her defence by revealing her former spouse’s true self. In a comment section of an Instagram post, Nurul Anis slammed her ex-husband for taking advantage of his sister’s wealth so he wouldn’t have to work.
She wrote, “Your sister has done so much for you and the family and what you’re getting right now is KARMA for all the things you’ve done. You’re just playing the victim here Syafiq. You’re the man of the house, you’re supposed to lead but you’re unemployed and dependent on someone else’s money. You still haven’t paid child support.”
Syafiq’s ex-wife also added how he would refuse to meet with her or Shila whenever they asked to discuss things with him, calling him a coward. “You really haven’t changed one bit. This has gone too far Syafiq! People will come for your sister just cause she’s famous but you’re the one who’s not right in the head. Prove me wrong.”
It seems that things will only get more complicated from here. Thankfully Shila has her husband Ubai Mz by her side during this difficult time. We hope that her family can solve their conflict peacefully one day.
