It’s simply frustrating to see passengers not being considerate or even disobeying the rules when boarding the LRT or MRT as there have been cases where ignorant men enter the women-only coaches and youngsters eat Maggi instant noodles on public transport.

Speaking of eating on the train, this man probably didn’t read the signs as he was mindlessly eating his meal on the LRT but unfortunately, that wasn’t all he did. Watch:

Over the weekend, a netizen who goes by @teachercalvintan posted a video on his TikTok channel to show something his friend had witnessed on the LRT. The video showed a man eating food on the public transport despite the restrictions. Not only that, it was also shown that the man had taken off his shoes while enjoying his meal.

According to the video text, the incident occurred on the LRT Kelana Jaya line. “Can you believe this? This man was shamelessly eating on the train and I just felt like vomiting just seeing his feet. So uncivilised!” the TikToker said in the video. The post shortly went viral with netizens condemning the man for being inconsiderate of other passengers, especially for removing his shoes in a confined space where people could be bothered by the odour.

Many tagged RapidKL in hopes that they’d investigate the matter by checking through CCTV footage and take appropriate action against the man. Some shared similar experiences of seeing other passengers eating on the train. Thankfully, RapidKL responded to the TikTok post and requested more information on the incident.

“Eating on the train is strictly prohibited. In case this happens, please report the number of the train (to us) so we can further our investigations. We also sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and will do constant monitoring to avoid this incident from happening again,” the company wrote.

At the time of writing, there is still no information if the man has been identified but let’s hope that he learns his lesson now that his actions have gone viral.
