If you’ve never checked out RapidKL’s official TikTok account, you might want to start doing so today. The metro system has garnered attention lately with its hilarious TikTok videos, like this recent parody of K-pop band DAY6’s (데이식스) music video.

Yesterday (Thursday, 5th June 2025), RapidKL shared a new video on its official TikTok account. The metro system’s social media team is known for creating funny videos with messages to inform passengers of train and bus etiquette. Most of the videos reference trending topics and memes. However, this particular video went viral amongst K-pop fans for being a parody of DAY6’s “Congratulations” music video.

In the original music video, the main character, played by actor Choi Wooshik, reminisces about a past relationship while on a train. He then stumbles across his ex-girlfriend on the train coach. However, she is now with another man. RapidKL’s parody replicates key scenes from the music video, including the ending when the main character exits the coach after seeing his ex with a new partner.

The video quickly went viral and gained over 120,000 views in the first 12 hours. Most comments are from K-pop fans amused by the unexpected parody. Some even quipped that RapidKL should open a new coach for single people to avoid stumbling across couples, or their exes, on trains. Others wondered if the video hints that the band would return to Malaysia for a new concert.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time the RapidKL social media team has referenced or mentioned DAY6. In fact, one of the people in charge of the TikTok account is known amongst local K-pop fans for being a MYDAY (DAY6 fan). The anonymous team member also posted about DAY6’s first solo concert in Kuala Lumpur, showing off their purchased ticket to the show.

Some fans are now asking for the RapidKL team to parody other music videos filmed on trains. While we wait for the next one, check out RapidKL’s “Congratulations” parody – and the original – below:
