Miss Hong Kong 2023 (港小姐競選)’s finals ended last Sunday (27th August), but things aren’t over for the girls. And it seems runner up Lynn Wang (王怡然) is next on the list!
4th participant Lynn Wang has been a fan-favourite since the beginning of the pageant, and well liked by her fellow contestants. But, a recent video of her scolding a server has showed a different side of her, leaving netizens shocked by her change in demeanour.
One would think that the drama would be dying down after the pageant, but instead, it’s been picking up. Earlier this week, Hanna Ng (胡睿涵) snubbed crown winner Hilary Chong (庄子璇) online while Zora Chen was defending herself after being slammed for an alleged “rude” remark. And now, it seems to be Lynn Wang’s turn.
A video of Lynn has been circulating on the internet recently, reportedly calling the 21-year-old out for being “two-faced”. The video showed Lynn furiously going on a tirade, allegedly directed at a Hong Kong restaurant’s waiter in November 2022. At that time, she was calling the waiter out on their “bad attitude“, demanding to know why the waiter was “embarrassing” her.
Netizens reportedly found the video on her now-deleted Douyin account, and were shocked by how ferocious and terrifying she looked, a very contradicting visage from her Miss Hong Kong face. “(Her) true character,” one comment read, while another stated: “Extremely terrifying, turned into a b*tch.” A few even blasted the Miss Hong Kong’s judges, sarcastically claiming they were “very discerning“.
Lynn Wang has not commented on the re-emergence of the video. But, things aren’t looking good for her, especially after news of her parents allegedly cheating tuition students of their money went viral. Well, there’s no denying that this year’s Miss Hong Kong takes the cake for the most fiascos!
