Apart from the long work hours, restaurant staff also have to deal with customers who may not always be satisfied with the service. Previously, a customer was definitely not happy with the portion he received for his butter kaya toast order.
Prior to that, a man lashed out at a KFC staff for serving his meal on paper. While many would have chosen to ignore a missing item in their order after arriving home, this man chose to give this McDonald’s outlet a piece of his mind. Watch:
Earlier today (Friday, 2nd June), a video was posted on the Kementerian Netizen Malaysia Facebook page that showed a few McDonald’s staff members being lectured by an angry customer. It was understood that the customer was furious after he discovered that there was a missing item from his order after he arrived home.
The man came back to the unnamed outlet to yell at the staff for not properly checking if his take-out order was complete before passing it over to him. While the hungry customer was lecturing the two male staff members over the mistake, one of the female staff prepared his missing order. “Do you think I have the time to come back for one cheeseburger?!” the man yelled.
Another staff believed to be the manager of the McDonald’s outlet, came in to calm the situation. The customer once again explained his ordeal to her. The video, which has now reached over 36k views, caught the attention of netizens who all weigh in on the incident. Some understood the customer’s anger as they had been in the same situation before while others believe he could’ve gone for a more peaceful approach to the problem.
At the time of writing, there has been no update nor statement from McDonald’s Malaysia regarding the incident. While a stern reminder can be good, we hope that both servers and customers can approach a situation such as this in a more calm and peaceful manner that doesn’t disturb the other customers.
