We may never understand how some people can be so cruel to animals. As if setting a stray dog on fire wasn’t enough, someone else was accused of killing domestic dogs around their neighbourhood by firing arrows at them for no reason.

Recently, another dog was a victim of torture when his owner allegedly chained it to his car and dragged it on the road. Warning: The following video may be disturbing to some readers. Please proceed with caution:

A villager who goes by Rajes recently posted several disturbing videos on his Facebook of a dog profusely bleeding beside a car and on the side of a road as seen in the video above. It was reported that the owner had chained the dog to the back of his car and dragged it onto the road. The incident was said to have taken place at Kampung Sri Parit, Lukut, Port Dickson.

Shocked by what he witnessed, the villager immediately got on his motorcycle to stop the owner by overtaking his car and blocking his path. It was then he discovered that the animal abuser was a fellow villager who owns a durian plantation. “The dog’s paws were bleeding and it had collapsed and the gravel was also scraping its chest while the man continued driving,” said the netizen.

When confronted, the owner claimed that the canine refused to get into his car for him to take it to his other plantation that was 2km away. Contradicting his claims, the injured animal apparently immediately jumped into the car after Rajesh unchained it.

By the time police arrived at the gruesome scene, many passersby surrounded the culprit and his injured dog. Both the dog owner and Rajes were asked to file a police report at the nearby station. The Facebook user was also advised to contact the Veterinary Services Department for further action.

Meanwhile, netizens applaud Rajes for his heroic deed and condemned the dog owner for his cruelty. At the time of writing, there have been no updates from the authorities on the condition of the dog or whether the owner will face any charges of animal abuse.
