Crowd Rallies Around Lady After She Caught A Pervert Taking Women’s Leg Pics On MRT Kajang Line

People seem to be getting braver as time goes by. Earlier this month, a pervert was exposed recording a woman on the MRT. Well, it seems another one was recently caught taking photos of women’s legs while on the MRT, leaving many disgusted and horrified.

Just yesterday (21st May) a post started making its rounds on socials, claiming several women had been harassed by a man while they were riding the MRT Kajang Line. Needless to say, it left many outraged, but luckily, they managed to get the situation handled on the spot!

The lady had initially shared her experience to her Instagram Story, but it was quickly spread around. Apparently, she had been riding the Kajang Line MRT on 21st May around 2pm when she realised something was wrong. An uncle sitting four seats away had been surreptitiously directing his phone at her, as if taking her photo. However, when noticed, he allegedly started “checking his messages.” That only prompted her to be more wary.

“After a while, I noticed that this uncle was taking leg pics of a girl that was going to get off the train. (At that point,) I stood up and questioned him, (asking): “Why are you taking leg pics of that girl?” And (I) told everyone that he was (doing so),” she stated. People were quick to rally behind her and with the help of the crowd, pressured the pervert into showing them his phone.

The uncle allegedly refused to do so initially. “I believed at this (point), the uncle had already deleted some pics,” the lady added. “To prove that he had not been taking leg pics of the girl, he took out his phone and showed evidence of the pics, which were actually another girl’s (photos). I pointed at that girl, she heard and came over, and started to question him too.”

Another man then came over with a card, claiming he was a police officer. He allegedly instructed the perpetrator to delete the photos and warned him that there were usually police on the trains. However, the lady admitted she had been too upset by the situation to verify the man’s identity. She also added that she was unsure if the pervert had deleted the photos as she had not witnessed him doing so.

Luckily, other passengers were taking care to film the situation, to ensure she had proof that it happened. Another lady also came over to comfort her and to get her away form the uncle. “I’m very thankful to all those people who came over to (help) the situation, it made me feel secure and not scared,” she said.

The lady added that if girls ever experienced such a situation, they should speak up and testify against such scumbags. “Otherwise, they will continue to harm more and more people! We must help each other! When other people see this kind of situation, they too should stop it from happening!” she wrote. “Give courage to those who stand up and testify against those surreptitious photographers!”

It certainly seems as though the MRT is a hotspot for such rancid activity. However, we sincerely hope those taking public transport continue to keep themselves, and others, safe from such situations. After all, it takes a village to raise a child, and a community to ensure the well-being, safety, and health of all.
